    This is soooooo helpful. I just ordered the pattern, and I didn't even plan to knit the sweater, but now I will! I wish other designers would do that too. Now if somebody could just explain their saddle shoulder designs to me. I have several patterns which have a saddle shoulder design and I just can't understand them. Maybe there is something for a great teacher like you to design in the future? 😀

    I am so glad to hear what you had to say about make the yarn and the pattern fit. Don’t choose the wrong yarn for the wrong pattern. The owner of my LYS has made it sound like oh it’s no big deal we can make that work or something to that effect. And I’m a math teacher, and I have always thought, “HMMM, is that really correct?” And now what you’re saying totally makes sense to me and this is the first time I’ve ever heard that. So thank you so much for sharing that.

    This explanation of the construction makes sense, but it is still a little vague. A how-to video would be helpful-not a full-garment one, but a mini-doll-size visual step-by-step for the back start and pickup. Snowfall is in queue 🤗

    Oh my gosh! This was the best sweater demo I have seen. I would beg all designers to make a video just like this to show people how knitting is constructed. After seeing this, I know I could do it. I am not sure I need a "how to knit" video just an explanation of why you are asked to do what you are doing. I loved it. Off to buy the pattern!

    Great tutorial! After this, my stiches doubled and how can decrease them into beginning stich number?

    • @JessicaMcDonaldKnits
      @JessicaMcDonaldKnits 3 дня назад

      Your stitches should not double. You should be knitting the front stitch (on the needles) together with the back stitch (from the cast on edge). It sounds to me like you are pulling the working yarn through the cast on edge and creating a new stitch. That loop pulled through the cast on edge should be pulled right through your next stitch on the needle so you are working stitches together instead of adding stitches.

    Wow, so far have watched up to working body. Your tutorial is amazing and video work awesome. I'm new to knitting sweaters. I have done raglan sweaters and enjoy making them. I just purchased your pattern since I have you here to guide me !!! Very much appreciated!! Thanks for all your work on this tutorial. This will be my first short rows like this and also first yoke sweater. Your teaching style is superb. I have tried to knit like you but ....middle finger just won't work and holding other in air just doesn't work either grr Your knitting is beautiful Magic loop is still confusing to me so I will use interchangeable needles and change cord length as needed.. So now .... off to look for yarn in your pattern :-)
